Character Trait Respect

This month’s bulletin board was created by the 2nd grade classes and highlights the Character Trait Respect.

During our month of “Respect” Mrs. Fiske will be working in each of the classrooms to identify herself and what her role of counselor means. She will also present what “respect” looks like, and will conduct read alouds on the topic.

Principal’s October Message

October’s character trait is Respect.  You can find out more about this by reading Mr. Klimko’s Brookside Briefs.  You can also check back later in the month by visiting our Character Education page to see what our school has done to show our respect.

Please find attached the October Brookside Briefs and Healthy Hints newsletters.

The Briefs include highlights from September as well as a look ahead and a calendar for the month of October.

The Healthy Hints include important health-related information as well as details on two voluntary programs that encourage students to walk to school and/or increase their step count.

Brookside = Positivity

Having a positive attitude is contagious and Brookside Place School is spreading messages of positivity to our students.  Mrs. Scholz kicked the year off by giving the bathrooms a positive and inspirational makeover!  The Brookside Place School restrooms recently went from plain to postively positive.  Grade 5 teacher, Mrs. Scholz, coordinated the addition of quotes, positive messages and affirmations using special decals.  The project is designed to create spaces that inspire children and to reinforce a positive, community-focused environment.
