The annual Pasta for Pennies event to collect money for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society has begun. Students should have received their letter and collection box. Students collect loose change, and fill their box for the chance for their class to win a Pasta lunch sponsored by the Olive Garden. Students may collect donations in the form of cash or check or set up online accounts.
This year, there are incentives for collecting. On the form sent home to the parents is a ‘coupon’. Any student that fills their box with $5.00, the parent completes the coupon and sends it in to their teacher for a free ‘Power Ring’. Students only receive this for their first $5.00 box. If student loses the ‘coupon’ a handwritten note from home stating they collected $5.00 is also fine. The other incentives listed are earned with online donations and Mrs. Brockman will keep track of those.

Last week the students of Brookside Place School collected $1322.23 for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.
