This week (12/2 – 12/6), we are celebrating Inclusive Schools Week. During this week, we are celebrating the progress we have made in our schools and communities to welcome all individuals and embrace our differences. Students in grades K-5 will be discussing and writing about how they feel included and students in grades 6 – 12 are invited to participate in a poster contest with their artistic interpretation of “great things happen in inclusive schools” (information about the poster contest was disseminated by the art teachers). Students district-wide will be viewing the film “Ian” with their class. Through this film we can see that we are alike in more ways than we are different.
Thank you for clipping, Scanning, linking and using the new Box Tops for Education app to raise more then $400 for the BPS PTA during the fall drive. The school-wide goal was achieved and the students earned their Pajama Day reward which will be on Friday, December 20th (a single session day). In addition there will be a brief assembly to announce the homeroom that raised the most and that homeroom teacher will be TP’ed (wrapped up).
