* The BPS Environmental Club is planning to create bookmarks from greeting cards. After the holidays are over, send your holiday cards to the school library media center (no photographs please). What is Art Night ?
Art Night is an evening of creativity where parents/family members join their Brooksider student to complete a themed art project.
This Years Theme: MASKS
Students are exploring the question “Why do People Wear Masks ?”
Masks are made for many different reasons and are found in every culture throughout history.

Mrs. Brockman’s Class is collecting Pasta for Pennies sponsored by the Olive Garden.
Pasta for Pennies is our school collection to support the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. Each class is collecting change in an effort to be the class that collects the most money. The winning class will receive a pasta, salad, and breadsticks lunch from the Olive Garden. Last year we raised $ 2,697.03 and the fourth grade is hoping to beat that total.
1st place winners are Mrs. Sztanscik’s Class 3KS with a total of $327.91
2nd Place Mrs. Higgins $168.86
3rd Place Mrs. Halkias $142.77
4th Place Mrs. Dowling $136.36
5th Mrs. Brockman $110.51
Total from BPS donations $1567.19
