May is a very busy month at BPS! Don’t miss out on the fun!

1. Order your pre-printed raffle tickets and food for the Tricky Tray from Pastosa’s – deadline May 4. All order forms can be found on the PTA website or in the files section.

2. There is till time to support your Tricky Tray Grade Basket. Send in as much as you would like to help purchase your child’s grade prize. Don’t worry if you lost your envelope – send your contribution in an envelope marked “Basket Raffle” with your child’s grade on it.

3. Purchase one or both of the 2 tickets for the Tricky Tray Grand Prize….$1000 gift card to the Menlo Park Mall! Each ticket is $20. Feel free to sell raffle tickets to family and friends. If you have any questions, contact Jessica Handsman ([email protected]). If you do not want the tickets, please return them.

4. Staff Appreciation week is May 7-11. Please see the flyer on the PTA website or this page for more information. Please consider donating $10 per family and/or sign up via https://www.signupgenius.com/go/4090c4bada72aa46-staff3

Plant Sale

BPS PTA Mother’s Day Plant Sale

Our annual Brookside Plant Sale will take place Friday, May 11, rain or shine.

All BPS students will have an opportunity to buy plants during school on Friday May 11th. Also, BPS parents and guardians can order flats of their favorite plants to be picked up the day of the plant sale. Flyers will be sent home and can be found by clicking Plant Sale Flat Orders 2018

Brookside 5K and Fun Run

Want to run the 5K but you’ve never run before?  Then join the “Couch to 5K” training program! Come out on Friday, March 23rd for a kick-off to an 8-week, 5K training program that will get you in great 5K running shape!

We will meet in Nomahegan Park at 9:00am. 2018 BPS 5K REG FORM(1)

Everyone is welcome to participate, first-time runner or not!  Spread the word!  Let’s come together to help support each other reach a fun goal! If you are interested in joining, please e-mail Teri Kandel @ [email protected] or Amy Owens @ [email protected] so we know to expect you! We hope you can join us!

The 2018 Brookside 5K & Fun Run is set for Sunday, May 20th!  We would love your support in the way of sponsorships. If you, your business or someone you know would like to be a sponsor for the race, please email Teri Kandel at [email protected] or

Based on your sponsorship level, you will receive
  • Free race entries
  • Your company logo on the race t-shirt
  • Space to set up and distribute business materials
All of the race proceeds will be used by the PTA for field trips, educational programs, school resources and activities to promote a healthy lifestyle.
Click the 2018 bps 5k sponsor letter regarding the different sponsorship levels. A family sponsorship is also available. Your family name will be displayed on the back of the race t-shirt.

Please consider being an important part of this wonderful school event!
